INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Travelers arriving into the Quito or Guayaquil international airports may now enter Ecuador without travel restrictions provided they present no symptoms AND they bring a paper copy of the negative results of a COVID PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test that was taken within 10 days of their arrival. Note: It is very important that the paper with your test results specify that it was a PCR test or else it may not be accepted.
Anyone presenting symptoms of COVID upon arrival in Ecuador is required to take a RT-PCR test at the airport at their own expense and proceed to quarantine in an authorized hotel even if the they have presented a negative PCR test at the airport of entry. Upon receipt of a negative test result, no further quarantine period is required.
Should you arrive to Ecuador without results of a PCR test, you will be required to undertake, at your own expense, a PCR test upon arrival to the airport and then proceed to quarantine in an authorized hotel until you have received the test results. If your test result is positive you must continue the quarantine period of a minimum of 10 days and necessary health care will be provided. If the test result is negative, no further quarantine is required.
